I have doing genealogy for over 50 years! I also love to walk cemeteries as time allows. I have lived in West River, South Dakota my entire life. I currently live in Custer, SD but do get to other areas of South Dakota on occasion. I am the mother of 5 and the grandmother of 14, so far. I love American history and genealogy is my passion.

I have transferred all the Leslie memorial that I created in Northfield Macedonia Cemetery to you. The others you listed were created by someone else.

William Wallace
Hi Lorraine,
Quite strangely, I received information from another contributor on the same William Wallace memorial in Northfield Cemetery as identified in my previous message. This information from the Cleveland Necrology File matched the stone so I have added it to the memorial. He was 67 years old. If you have not already done so, I would create another memorial for the William Wallace you have on your list who died at age 31. Thanks again for all you are doing.

William Wallace
Hi Lorraine,
I'm keeping pace with all the changes. Thanks for doing all the work on that list. Regarding your following message "my list shows a William Wallace who died Nov 18, 1853. Not sure if this is the same one. age 31"; I am not sure either but I know that there was another William Wallace in Northfield who was born in New Hampshire in 1789 and was still alive in 1850. So I will err on the side of caution and not post this information to the existing stone. You might choose to create an additional memorial but I will leave that choice to you.

I have a Bremer County cemetery book that I bought in Waverly, Iowa. It has all the cemeteries listed. There are several Bakers in it. Only 1 Ives. I believe I paid 30 dollars for it. Thanks Bonita Meyer Meier.

No, I do not have any information such as cause of death. I would check witht the Bremer County Courthouse in Waverly, Bremer County, Iowa. They probably have a website, but I am not sure what it is. Deaths in Sumner, are generally in the Sumner Gazette (local newspaper)as well. Both, Becker-Milnes and S.K. Rogers Funeral Homes are both on-line.

You may certainly add photos of tombstones, portrait, or family pictures to any memorial. It brings the person to life for me as a volunteer. If you have any obituary you may send that on to whomever has the memorial and they will generally add that as well. I alwaysa give the contributer creditwhen someone sends me an obit to add.

RE: Hot Springs National Cemetery
I have added clearer or better pictures. If there is a picture there and it is just as good as the one you have, then don't worry about it. If the current one is a poor picture, put a better one up. I don't think it is a problem. You can take all the headstones you want without someone asking for a certain one. Right now, Evergreen, Oral, Custer, Edgemont and others in the area need to be taken. I have been working on Evergreen, but there are so many. I could use the help. I'm going to do Black Hills National and Ft. Meade this spring, if the snow ever goes away.

RE: Lowell, Thomas & Delores
I should have waited on the request for I know you have a lot of bad weather that way. There should be a James R.Lowell ( born June 29, 1928 died 1992) in the same cemetery. His wife (Delores) is buried there. Also while you are there would you look for William A. Lowell. William was born March 14, 1925. I think William will be next to Ernest and Agnes. Thank you so much for being willing to do this for me. Ruth Lowell
