Bio and Links
Bio Photo My wife and I are retired firefighters, I with over 32 years as an industrial firefighter and municipal volunteer, and Debbie with just over 16 as a municipal volunteer. Since 1977 I have been working for a major oil company in Houston, TX. Debbie is the "heady" master-mind and main discipline of the team when it comes to research, and has expanded our knowledge base considerably. I on the other hand, have found my forte to be in the scanning and digitizing of old photos and documents, uploading our work to the internet, uploading photos and managing memorials on F-A-G.

Although I am not an "official" volunteer photographer, I do monitor requests in my local area and I try to check the locations where I may be traveling to, and I try to fill whatever I can when I'm on the road.

For those of you who I may request the transfer of management of a particular memorial from, please rest assured that all credit for your work will be retained on the memorial. This also extends to those who may have contributed pictures or other documentation as well. While for now, about all I have in the way of memorials are family members, I have no issues with transferring management of a memorial to any family member, in or outside of the F-A-G "4 generation" stipulation. The way I see it, a family member should be able to provide a much more meaningful memorial than just a couple of dates and a cemetery name from a stranger.

RE: Gate of Heaven cemetery
OMG!! They responded to my request for a photo of Patrick J Reilly's headstone! I really didn't think I would ever hear from them, but miracles DO happen!

RE: Gate of Heaven cemetery
Thanks for letting me know about this! There are always the few who ruin it for everyone else. I had a feeling money was involved somewhere, just the wrong party. Such a shame. Pam

Gate of Heaven cemetery
Thanks for the heads-up regarding photo requests at this cemetery. Some of them are getting so "anal" about it, especially when they won't even let you photograph your own ancestors! They must want people to pay them to do the requests themselves, it always comes down to the almighty dollar. Such a shame people have gotten so selfish and greedy. Pam

Hi Ken and Debbie,
Just wanted to give you a big "thank you" for trying to get a photo of Horace and Columba Volz's
headstones for me. I will call the cemetery and see if they will take the photos for me.Appreciate
your willingness to give of your time to go to the
cemetery and try to take the photos. God bless you
both for all that you do for those of us unable to
travel to the cemeteries where our ancestors are buried.Margaret

Adam Chuhka in Togus National Cemetery

Hello Ken and Debbie,

I was able to get a good day yesterday to go to Togus to get some photos. There were a couple dozen turkeys that were roaming around Section O and Section Q. I got them in the background of one of the shots.

Lots of wildlife near this part of the cemetery. Several times I have seen deer there and once we saw a bobcat there.

Merry Christmas!

Sincerely, Tim & Grace Cooper

RE: Forest Park East - League City
I spent a month trying to get them to give me information on 11 or 12 graves and they never even pretended to help me. The only way you'd get something in my opinion is if they thought you were going to buy plots. I have been tempted to call channel 11 and report how they treat families out there. One the people that wanted a picture was an elderly sister and she called and they wouldn't even give it to her. My husband walked the cemetery until he found the family stone with the surname of it and where the sister said the stone should be there was nothing there. The stone was supposed to have been place over a year ago. Somebody needs to file a complaint about them for sure.

I just came across your message that you sent to Mary Sue Barton, and also to me. I apologize for the delay. I do not remember seeing this email, but I hope it has been corrected. Please take a look and let me know if anything else needs to be done.
