I have a passion for anything old; antiques, histories of old communities, and especially old cemeteries. The more I photograph and transcribe them, mainly in Nevada County, California, the more I learn about the people. That is what is most fascinating to me. I have a Bachelors Degree in History and hope to continue to photograph the old headstones for many years to come. I believe in preserving the old cemeteries and documenting the markers left by old pioneers.

John Kidder
Hi Kat - Thanks for understanding. I am glad you added the memorial though, because I wasn't sure exactly where he was buried first before being moved to San Francisco. I am related to his wife, Sarah (Clark) Kidder and have been researching the family for a long time. I do have something I'd like to tell you about this if you are working on Nevada County things. When you get a chance, would you be able to drop me a quick note on my e-mail that is on my contributor page? Thanks again : )

RE: Ezra Brown and 2nd wife Sabrina Ransom Park Brown
Thank you so much for taking the picture of the grave of Ezra Brown in San Juan Cemetery. As you or someone else told me he must have had a wood
tombstone and it has "deteriated" over time. I sent up the directions to my brother on how to get to the cemetery so when I am up visiting him we will drive over from Penn Valley.
Much appreciation.

Hi Kathy
In 2010 I made a memorial for Inez , she is a first cousin but I could not find the cemetery until I was able to find her husband on Billion Graves. I have her parents and sibs. I was wondering if you would consider deleting yours unless you are family and closer than myself. Please let me know

Thank you for your time

RE: directions to N San Juan Cem
Thank you so much for these directions. I never
would have found the North San Juan Protestant cemetery without them. My brother's and I tried once before when taking a ride around Nevada City and Nevada county with out any luck on location.
Mucho appreciation!

Sabrina Ransom Park Brown
Kat B.
I loved the picture you put on her memorial. Could you put her name Sabrina not Sarah in explanation.
Thank you,
