My number one goal is to find my relatives and help others find theirs, also. I'm retired now and have some time to look for cemeteries, particularly in Madison County, NC, where my mother is from. This of course means dragging my husband Gary on these journeys, which he is more than happy to do (at least he SAYS he is!)|

Find A Grave Memorial# 8976796
He does not seem to come up with a simple search.
Perhaps you could paste the same notes on to that memorial.
Thanks for what you have done already.

It looks like the Davis Cem. is in Marshall, Madison Co. near the landfill.

Jacob and my 5th generation Grandfather John F. Jarrett were brothers. Their parents were Samuel and Susan Weaver Jarrett, buried at the Lutheran Church Cem. near Newton, NC.

Hope I got this right. cousin roger
WOW! Thanks for finding Jacob and capturing that before it is lost forever. Sorry about the grass whipping! I think these ancestors appreciate being remembered and all the efforts to do so.

Thank you for all your efforts! May I have your permission to use Find A Grave photos on my ancestry.com family tree? Right now, I am specifically looking at Jacob and Delitha Sams Jarrett.

Do you know if any male Rice from your family tree has taken the Y-chromosome DNA test? If so what group they might be? I am a testee of the FTDNA mid south group #7. In researching the Rice families, I found a Peter T Keith who married Elizabeth Jane Rice in Madison County North Carolina in 1855. In the 1860 census of Clay County Kentucky Peter Keith, Betsy Jane Keith had a Joseph age 4, Ama Keith age 9 months. Also in the household was William Rice, Poley Marinda Rice and a Joseph Rice age 1. It appears the Keiths stayed and died in Clay County Ky. I'm trying to find a common ancestor for this group #7 and that is why I ask about the DNA. The group has family ties to Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky. The oldest know is 1717, a Henry Rice who died in Union County Tennessee. I also know a Spence Rice was in Tennessee in 1806.

Patricia, I was interested in asking if you are related to the Rice's as they make up a number of you entries. I am researching my Rice family line and came across all your entries.
