Thanks for your note about Mabel. I linked her to her dad as you requested. I added Mabel to the site (as I did for a few Shortons from Manayunk/Roxborough) because there is some association between my Storkey family and some Shortens/Shortons... there is an Edward S. (about 1921-1923) who is in our plot and handled by the same undertaker but I can't find the connection... I'm telling you all this just in case you know or trip over it later.
I don't know if you're interested, but there seems to have been 2 Shorten/Harmer marriages. One was my Mabel Harmer marrying Benjamin Shorten, while Grace Estelle Shorten married Charles Wesley Harmer. Interesting as there were not a lot of Shortens or Harmers in the Philadelphia area- these families might have been close.
