Thank you Ben for taking a picture and posting the information on the Miller Family. I have been wondering where they were buried, and then I finally found them thanks to you!

RE: Andrew Comings
I was just informed that Andrew's stone was carved by Jonas Stewart Sr of Claremont NH. The information comes from Mary Dexter who is a Stewart researcher. Thought this might be of interest...

Ben I got the Pic. from Ruth before she passed. If you talk to Ruths daughter sharon she may have more that you would be interested in. Glad that you liked the pic. Bob

RE: Other Newkirks
Hi Ben,

I've not worked on my Newkirk line in a while, that was my maiden name - I've been doing work on my mother's side...
Jacob Newkirk was married to Fitje Hennion - I wonder if her gravesite is in that cemetery? Garret (son of Jacob/Fitje) was married to Rachel Archer who ended up living with Jacob (the son of Garret). They all lived in Bergen county until about 1900.

I will have to keep your file close at hand as I start researching the Newkirk's and their inlaws!

I'm from Long Island and we raised our son on Cape Cod in the town of Sandwich - I didn t know it then, but I found out that I'm directly related to 3 of the 10 founding fathers of that town. We're in NC now, how I wish I were still up north (for many reasons) but also to be able to easily get to the places I have ancestors...

I see that you did some things for the Van Vorst family too - I have them in my dad's side... I will definitely be in touch with you as I get deeper into my dad's side!!

Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving

Jacob Newkirk
Hi Ben.... This morning I received the news that you had a photo of Garret Newkirk and I was thrilled! Now, I'm doubly thrilled to have Jacob Newkirk too! They are father/son. THANK YOU!

Van Vorst - Old Bergen Cemetery
Thanks so much for a great set of fall pictures at the Old Bergen Cemetery. Was the arch piece with the name on it just lying on the ground loose? If so, surprised it's not been further tampered with over the years. Thanks for your work!
