of Rolling Meadows A funeral Mass for Bernard T. Macklin, 70, will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. today, at St. Cecilia Church, 700 S. Meier Road, Mount Prospect. Born Sept. 15, 1931, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, July 9, 2002, at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Mr. Macklin was a retired vice president of the Flexible Technology Corporation of Rolling Meadows. A resident of Rolling Meadows for more than 44 years, he had served on the Rolling Meadows Plan Commission and was also the police and fire commissioner. In addition, he was a member of the Rolling Meadows Senior Center and the president of the Town Square Home Owners Association. A veteran, Bernard had served in the Coast Guard. Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Macklin (nee Lipkie); children, Duane (Gayle) Macklin, Raymond (Tracey) Macklin, Patti (Bob) Nihells and Theresa (Thomas) Pingel; and 18 grandchildren. Visitation was Thursday, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society or Masses would be appreciated. You didn't happen to see her husband's stone there by chance. It would be good to get his death date.
