Katherine Huizinga
Jinny, I searched this morning for Katherine's grave. She is in Block 13, Lot 85_B, Space 11 at Fulton Street Cemetery adjacent the grave (Space 12) of G J Huizinga who already has a Find-a-Grave memorial - Find A Grave Memorial# 109022399.

Katherine does NOT have a headstone. I am posting a picture of the overall area where she is buried which includes a photo of G J's grave and others in the surrounding vicinity.

Jinny - You never got back to me re: whether you wanted this memorial transferred to you. I did however, delete a photo for you so you could add one. Jeannie

Jinny - Would you like me to transfer the maintenance of James' memorial to you? I am not related. Jeannie

RE: Wenzek

You're very welcome for the photos, Jinny. Just wish I would get to photograph some eye-level crypts once in awhile :) Like the challenge though. Glad I could help out !

Suggestion on names
I am not sure if you put in the name correction for Hein and his wife, but just a heads up - you may want to have the name "with no spaces" because the way F.A.G. groups the names, unless they are all the same - they will not show together. So I would suggest that they all are the same to be able to locate other family members with the same last name. Sometimes people just don't know to look for other spellings of the name - think outside the box sort of speak.

RE: Vanderhaar
We took a TON of them... would you like me to send them to you for your records? If so, I will need your email address.

RE: Kassers at Woodlawn!
Okay, Jinny, here's the instructions for you:
Click on "Add Burial Records" and choose "Family and Friends" (left side of screen).
You now have a screen that says "Step 1 - Biographical Information". Fill in all of the information you can. You will always be able to go back and add more information once the memorial is completed. Near the bottom of this screen it says "Burial" and you need to choose "Cemetery Burial". Then at the bottom where is says "Proceed to Step 2", click that.

Now it will say "Step 2 - Find the Cemetery". Just type in "Woodlawn" for the name. Type in "California" and then "Los Angeles" for the county. Now you will see there are two Woodlawns in Los Angeles County, so make sure you choose the one in Compton.

Last, you click "Add this Name" (bottom of the screen). It might take a minute for this last step, but then you will get a prompt that says "To View Memorial you just created, click here" and then you are done!

Let me know when you have the two memorials added and I will add the same grave photos.

Photo tip: When adding portrait photos of the person, you will notice there is a drop-down box for the type of photo: make sure you choose "Person". That way, the portrait photos will always be at the top. On memorials that you manage, you can always change the order of the photos. But if you are ever adding photos to a memorial that you are not in control of, you cannot change the order.

I hope this helps. If you get stuck, let me know.

Best regards,

PS - If you ever intend to add a bunch of memorials at any one particular cemetery, the entry of them is easier. Let me know if you ever get to that point and I'll explain how to do it.

Kassers at Woodlawn!
Hi Jinny! I'm so glad you found the information you were looking for. Yes, Ruben is very helpful but there are certainly limitations -- he 'inherited' quite a mess when he took on ownership of Woodlawn. I was actually there after you had been there because I saw flowers at the Kasser marker; I knew it must have been you.

Anyway, it is really very easy to add memorials to this site. Would you like me explain how you can do it, or do you really want me to do it and then transfer them to you? Either way is okay with me, but you should learn how to do it because there will surely be more relatives that you will want to add to this site.

I've seen all of the lovely old photos you have added to memorials. They are treasures, aren't they?

Anyway, let me know if you would like to learn how or to have me add them.

Best regards,
