I have been actively engaged in genealogy for over 30 years, intrigued when one of my father's cousins asked me a question which I could not answer. But long before then I had an interest in family history. I spent my childhood on the "old homestead" which one great-great grandfather settled in 1833 upon his arrival from County Tyrone in Ireland. As a child I read a mimeographed family history which circulated through the Carson family, and I lived surrounded by a host of cousins from the various lines of my mother's family.|
Following my retirement as a pastor, and the subsequent death of my first wife, I have been able to devote more time to my explorations.
I participate in Find a Grave, not only for the genealogical information which many pages carry, but even more because I believe the site supports my conviction that every individual matters to the God who created us, and who extends his love to all who will accept it.

Thanks for the marker number for Frederick Norman Riffle. I had no idea my dad was named after his two grandfathers.

Thank you so much for the photo of James Viale's grave marker. My cousin and I really appreciate it.
Would you like me to transfer the memorials for James Carson and Bertha Carson to you?

Would like permission to use several photos of tombstones you took in my ancestry.com file.
If permission granted, what name should I use as photo credit. Thank you, Jay Wade
