Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have recently begun researching my family tree. My 12 year old son has a family heritage project due soon, and that's what prompted me to get started. I have been procrastinating for some time, so this was the nudge I needed!

I am married to a wonderful guy and also have a 10 year old daughter. I'm a stay-at-home mom, but I volunteer a good bit at the schools and our church (First Methodist). I stay extra busy in the summer with a rather large vegetable garden. I have been canning green beans and pickles since 2005. It is hard work, but I love eating vegetables that I have grown!

RE: Peeler Headstones
Looking for a John Davis, dob 1880, no dod. His grandaughter says he is buried @ Kadesh, his wife Nora Lingerfelt is buried @ Reeps. There is not memorial for him but I will create one if you find the headstone, kinda backwards. No hurry, just whenever you have time. Thanks, Jean

thank you for your effort in this matter. please don't spend more time unless you are intrigued by it. i am interested in photos of markers that show the burial place. if no marker is there then the documentation of the cemetery of burial is enough for me. thanks again

Peeler Headstones
Thank you so much for your time & effort photographing these headstones. My Aunt Gerry (Peeler) Caron was surprised I could find so much out about her family in NC. She would have loved this info, sorry to say, she passed away last month, I will forward these to her sister & children. Thanks again. Jean

RE: TAKING PICTURES
Wow. Aren't you a pretty young lady. I was just trying to be helpful with the picture taking hints. Some of mine have my finger over part of the lens; some have my shoe on the monument, etc. I'm really terrible with a camera.

John Derrick Beam
OK Shelly - I made the corrections for John Derrick Beam. John and Mary are my 7th great grandparents.

TAKING PICTURES
I'll share one little trick I learned. When the shadow was over the cemetery stone, I moved to the other side and took it upside down (no shadow) and when I got home, flipped it with my Photo Program and voila ... good picture, with no shadow. It worked for me.
