 | RE: Arthur C. Pomeroy Wow. That's great. I'm writing a book and wanted to confirm this. I read in a May 1903 obit that he lost a daughter at the age of 3. Was his father's name also Arthur C. Pomeroy? Thanks for your immediate reply! | | | Frank H. Jump
 | Arthur C. Pomeroy Dear Beth- I'm writing a book about Fading Advertisements of NYC and I'm wondering if this is the same Arthur C. Pomeroy of the Pomeroy Truss Company. Thank you for your time.
Best, Frank H. Jump frankjump@fadingad.com

 | RE: Bancroft! Your very welcome...your Richard Bancroft story sounds a lot like our McConaughy...John and Jane the parents were old but came to Jones County from Ohio, since a couple of their sons and daughters came here. John died shortly after arriving here, the trip seemed to be to much for him. He is one of 3 oldest born men buried in Forest cemetery, which is about 2 miles from Highland cemetery. His son Atkinson McC is buried in Highland. i don't know much about Highland cem., other then there was a Post office in the settlement of Highland from 1852-1875...after that it was moved to Rome, and people did not want to give up Highland. I live about 1/2 mile from Highland Cem. A Lot of very old unreadable stones here.Added by tjmcc on Apr 03, 2011 12:47 PM | | |
