Hi Ruth -
My connection to the Wells' branch is very distant. For instance - Phillip Wells is the father in-law of the 1st cousin of the husband of my half 2nd great Aunt. Blood's getting pretty thin here! :)

It was not my intention to duplicate John H Lewis Memorial, I had already added him to the Find a grave site on June 26, 2013, I just didn't have cemetery info.....

Hi Ruth, thank you for the info. I found this page about Ebenezer http://bradsport.com/aSolomonLeonard1615/b22691.htm#P22691 and this page, where the author has copied Solomon Leonard of NY's court writ which lists his living heirs http://bradsport.com/aSolomonLeonard1615/b22691.htm#P22691 Thanks again! Lee

Hello! Any chance you know about the Leonards who were in NY for a time in the late 1700s? It turns out there was a Solomon Leonard married to Huldah Hodge # 39490031 ĽandĽ a Solomon Leonard married to Huldah Orcutt #49676984. Now trying to find Solomon of NY's parentage. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer, Lee

The accuracy of Ida's date of birth has been questioned also. If Sarah Amelia was her biological mother and Ida's birth date is correct, then she was born before her parents' marriage on 7 Mar 1858 in Hazelton, Buchanan, IA. Ida was supposedly born 20 Jab 1857 in Benton Co., IA, so it leaves open the possibility that she was Charles Wheeler's daughter by a previous wife who died about the time Ida was born, and then he married Sarah Amelia after being widowed. Ida certainly knew no other mother than Sarah, however.

I think you're right about the squiggle being a poorly written m for male in 1860 for male, but the transcription says female. He's recorded female incorrectly in 1870, and the headstone calls the child male. It's all the same child, Francis Nevada. He was a sibling of my 2nd great grandfather. I've reworded my note on the picture submitted to FindAGrave. When I first found the burial, I was still not certain it was their child, but I've found no other possibilities.
Good evening Ruth;
Hang on... don't give up I almost got it. That will is something !!!

The Find A Grave program has no means of directly linking siblings without linking them to their parents memorial numbers the best I can do is to put and annotation on Ronald's memorial stating that he has a twin brother and site his brothers Find A Grave #. If the parents have numbers and you could give them to me can link Ronald to them.

No, I am not related to him.
My relatives are also from the Fillmore and Meadow area. I just added memorials from Fillmore that were not already there.
