I just want to thank you for the wonderful memorial you created for my cousin (1st 2x removed), Frank Schiel Jr. I knew he had died serving in World War II, but not the story of his service. I have shared this with other members of my family, especially when Memorial Day rolls around.

RE: Photos of gravestones
Hi Tripp, the photos I posted were taken by Tom Chused about 2 decades ago. Katie took hers this year. You can see what 20 years of weathering does. Barbara

She may be buried in another section or plot, but wherever she is there, the grave is unmarked unless it was missed in records and in my photos.

Her obituary says she was buried in Oakland, but there is no headstone for her in that plot.

RE: Jette Morritz Wolf
Not sure the shaving cream cleans the stone but it gets in the words and squeegee the excess away and you can read the info and take a good picture

No, I used shaving cream to show up the lettering. many stones can not be read in this cemetery. I hope I did not do something wrong.

No I do not think I cleaned it up but I may have. I am not sure what cemetery you are speaking of. There was one or two I had to clean the stones to read them.

Jacob Wolf mem#30677511
Hello I recently photographed this memorial. I added the pictures and sent you an edit. I am almost positive this is the Jacob Wolf the only problem I am having is on the gravestone his last name is spelled Wolff. If you don't think this is the same person I will gladly take the photos down and create a new memorial. Just wanted to bring this to your attention.

RE: LTC George B. McMillan
I am not certain but I believe it came from the archives at The Citadel from which we are both alumni. I also have a group photo of some AVG pilots that includes McMillan, you can contact me at and I will be more than happy to send you copies of both photos.
