I checked with other family members and they noticed no flowers or notes or any updates since your request for transfer. So at this time I'll maintain these for Lillie's family.

Please feel free to add whatever photos you like and/or info. I will gladly put edits in; however, J.C. is also part of my family :-) I always welcome edits and personal family info otherwise not found on the net.

You're very welcome, I plan on making some trips out to those cemeteries as soon as the weather gets warmer, so I'll let you know if I find anything else. Good luck in your search!
Hi, I did a little sleuthing and found some clues as to where some of the other Weinfelds you mentioned might be buried. Kate (Kittie) married Max Herskovitz, who lived Aug. 20, 1869-Feb. 15, 1929 and was buried in "Austria Hungarian Cemetery", which is located inside Waldheim Jewish Cemetery in Forest Park, IL. I think there's a good chance Kate could be buried there with him. You can contact the cemetery to find out at http://www.waldheimcemetery.com/SiteContent/Locate-Family-Grave/, or call 708-366-4541.
William Weinfeld moved to Manhattan, NYC and died there in Dec. 1970. I assume he and his wife are buried somewhere in or near New York City.
Samuel Weinfeld and his wife Henrietta (Salzenstein) had an unnamed son who died at birth in 1916. Illinois death records show his burial place as Ridge Lawn Cemetery, Chicago. It's possible Samuel and Henrietta could be buried there too. You can contact the cemetery office (also called Beth-El Cemetery) at 847-673-1584 to find out for sure.
Hope this helps!

I'm very happy to have helped with the pictures of your relatives in Jewish Graceland Cemetery. I have photographed all legible headstones in that cemetery, and unfortunately I didn't come across anyone else with the last name "Weinfeld" or "Herskovitz". The burial records kept by the Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois don't seem to have anyone by those names listed either. If I come across any information on any of those names, I'll be sure to let you know. If they lived in the area at the time of their deaths, it's possible they might be buried in another Jewish cemetery in the city or suburbs; the biggest ones are Jewish Waldheim in Forest Park and Zion Gardens in Chicago (also Beth-El in Chicago, that one is smaller). Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago also has a Jewish section. Good luck finding them!

# 95368592. I believe Bud's 3rd wife (Vera) had the maiden name of "Saxon". That is the name on the marriage cert when she married Bud. She married Dr. Lawrence Greenburg after Bud died. I found a directory listing for them in 1959 after Bud died.
|Eugene Cornelius||Jimmy Glasberg|
I will gladly accept management of James Glasberg's memorial. He was a grandson of Bessie Porter Glasberg (and Aaron Glasberg). Bessie was a sister to my wife's grandfather Otto Herman Porter.
Thanks for adding James' memorial and photographing his headstone.
My find a grave member # is 46932184.
|Librarian Jessie||Rosa Weinfeld Memorial|
I transferred management of the memorial for your relative, little Rosa Weinfeld, in Chicago's Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery (Jewish Graceland). I hope you can find and link her memorial to those of her parents.
|Memory Keeper||Capt. Wallace Emmer # 36780000|
Thank you for sending the additional information about Capt Emmer. I will be glad to add the additional information you provided. I did not know him or his family but I am the daughter of a WWII veteran and I think each veteran deserves a permanent memorial page on sites where they can be honored. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our veterans and their families.
Are you family or a friend of his family? I will transfer his memorial page if you would like to maintain it. Sometimes family and friends prefer to maintain pages rather than have an unknown person do it. I have no problem with transfers.
