RE: Sgt Arnold Hall

Actually, I have been working with his daughter, Jo Ann, and am waiting on some things from her. She may want the memorial, but don't know for sure as yet.

Highland Park Cemetery request
Lee's steps for Highland Park Photo requests:
1. You find out where they are buried—this is very easily done by going to You may find other helpful info there about your ancestor, as well.
2. Add this burial information to their memorial so it shows up on the photo request list.
3. Write, call or e-mail the cemetery office to confirm that a marker actually exists—about 60% of requests for this cemetery will have no marker.
4. Send me a message letting me know that this stone is now ready to be found and I will look for it, weather permitting. If you discover that there is no marker, please go to the request, choose "report problem" and from the drop down, "cemetery office confirms that no marker exists for this burial"

RE: Your Highland Park photo request
Unfortunately, if he was buried in he indigent section, that will mean no stone. I don't know if Crown Hill puts any sort of name marker for those burials. You could check with them. If they do, and you'd like a photo of that, I could try to find it, weather permitting. Keep in mind we've already had our first snow, so time is of the essense. Another thing I can do for people is simply take a photo of the area where he is buried.

Your Highland Park photo request
Hillary S informs me that you can actually look up the Highland Park burial records at
I'm still asking people to call the cemetery office to confirm that there is actually a stone there, however. More than 60% of the requests I've checked out have not had stones, they will only look up a limited number for me at a time and the cemetery is enormous (over 130,000 burials) with a numbering system that at times defies logic.

your photo request
I was at Highland Park Cemetery fulfilling photo requests today. It is a huge cemetery and there is no way anyone could find a tombstone without the Section and Lot or Tier number. I will, as I am able, look for the stones that have this information. There are 121 photo requests for this cemetery so I cannot request lookups for all of them. This is the link:
Please also ask them to check if there is actually a stone there

RE: Beine
Hi Janice,
My mother is also a Beine. I've actually been able to trace my family straight to Germany. All my Beine relatives settled in St. Louis immediately. However I would love to see the connection because I'm sure they are related. I will go ahead and send you a e-mail invite to my ancestry page and maybe you'll be able to figure it out. I haven't really done a whole lot research in awhile. Thanks for getting in contact with me.
