|Anthony B||RE: Howard Zahniser's obit|
It's perfectly OK to use Howard Zahniser's bio in Find-A-Grave in your book. You don't have to give me any credit for it, because the information is not copyrighted. I have been a member of the Wilderness Society for more than 40 years, and I have visited Bob Marshall's gravesite at Salem Fields Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY. Marshall was the chief architect of the wilderness movement in the United States.
For your information, I'm from New York State, where most of the undeveloped land in the Adirondacks and Catskills is protected by state constitution and not federal law.
If you will click on the following link, you will see a picture of Alice Zahniser and Mardy Murie when the Wilderness Act was signed into law.
Very few people see or experience the wilderness. The original founders of the Wilderness Society were spirited elitists. I've heard a lot about the Bob Marshall Wilderness in Montana. They say that you have to see it to believe it.

You didn't ask for a transfer but I transferred it to you. Have a blessed day.

Friends are important too :) One gentleman said they didn't even ask him if he was related when he called. If you change your mind I'd be glad to look when I go!

Hi! I see you have a photo request for Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland Maryland. I'm taking a trip there soon and I'm planning on trying to fulfill as many requests as I can. Since this cemetery is so large (about 80,000 graves) it would help to have the section and plots of the burials. I have spoken to Carmelita Walker from CHC. She said she can't give locations of these sites to me since I'm not related but she said if you call her at 301-568-5400 & tell her that you're a relative (or think you may be!) she can give it to you. She said there's no charge for this information. If you could get the info soon (by 9/6) that would be great! If you are no longer interested in fulfilling the request for whatever reason, just let me know too so I can cross it off my list. Thanks!
