Born in Hominy, Osage County, Oklahoma, 1938, I have lived in Franklin County, Ohio, since 1974. I am now retired and I am willing to travel a reasonable distance to fulfil|
photograph requests. I travel, usually by car, to Oklahoma several times per year, and I'm willing to stop along the way to take photos.

Hi John... I did not know Imojean Sikes Allen. I could have met Laura Caseann Brannon Jordan when I was young, I just don't remember. Her brother, Thomas Grant Brannon is my G Grandfather. I never met him, he died before I was born. I have lots of family from Hominy, Atkinson, Copeland and Pattison's who settled there in 1893,one of the first 5 white families that settled in Hominy. I used to spend summers in Hominy with my grandma Beulah Copeland. I have always loved Hominy, still do and visit often.

During the last 20 years or so, the church had closed and was used for storage. Vandals burned it down about a year ago. I've been in touch recently with the family who serves as head of the cemetary association. Will ask about records. I do know, however, that the Point L'Eglise Genealogical Society has created an index of graves all over Acadia Parish. It is kept in the Archives of the Acadia Parish Library.

I was taking pictures at Maxie Cemetary last week and looked carefully for this particular grave. I'm sorry to report that I couldn't locate it, or any other Lemmons. There are a number of unmarked slabs, so it could be among those.

I thought about going back out there with sidewalk chalk to see if anything would show up

I am about to add the grave marker for these two individuals. In one of the photos on Mattie, you can see the Luther marker. Zelphia Luther is buried in plot CP1-H-L19-3E. This is the grave immediately to the south of the Jordan graves. Unfortunately while there is a marker on these two graves, you can not read anything on it. Sorry but that is the best I can do
