Gathering family information has always been a passion for me. This site has allowed me to find information that would have taken hours of time and travel making those connections. Hopefully, I am able to help others with priceless information as well. Photos I post can be used to honor your loved ones. My wish is that this helps you with research and putting together the pieces of your family puzzle. Please let me know should I need to make corrections or connections for you. |
My main line of research includes: Wollam, Andrews, Rittger/Ruth, Howard, Beach, Clarke, McAnarney, Richardson, Solomon, Mendel, Kelly, Manley, Burch, Gale, Shoemaker, Callihan.

Thank you so much for the excellent photos of Emily Waters Bragg and Richard Henry Waters. They were siblings: Emily then a widow and Richard, who never married. I particularly appreciated the third photo showing the relationship between the two gravestones. Only a few FindAGrave memorials have been established for this cemetery. I created the two you photographed just because their death certificates indicated they were buried there. The gravestones are the proof. If, while there, you noticed other gravestones for the surnames of Waters, Womack, or Bragg, I would be delighted to be informed. Many members of these families lived as neighbors in Butler County, AL and moved to Texas. I am tracing these related families.
Thank you again. Richard Boyd

All updated and linked. Thank you

You are very welcome. Sorry it was in such bad shape. The cemetery is old although they do a good job of mowing etc. Glad it made you happy.

Thanks for the info on Henry. Are you related to the Siers/Sears Family?
People not responding to updates is getting ridiculous. I love people who post in the bio page to use the edit tab only, but will ONLY update if you post updates on their message page, if you're lucky!
Have a great day!
Just wanted to thank you for the transfer of James Aaron MACKEY Jr to me. I appreciate all you have transferred to me.

I have finally found time to get back to Find-A-Grave. I am sorry that it has taken so long.
I have linked James Sr. to his wife Amy, and his son James Jr. to them. I have also linked James Jr. and his wife Mildred.
About the death date for James Sr., I only have the information on a printout from the cemetery to go by. The next time I go out to Venus Cemetery, I'll make it a point to find his stone and check dates.
In the meantime, if you would like me to transfer any of the Mackey memorials to you, I would be happy to do so.
Have a wonderful day, Dawna.
