Was my real father; although I have no memory of him. He married my mother (Doris Day) before the beginning of WW2 and I was born in Houston, Texas, Harris County on August 24, 1937, but was raised by maternal grandmother until about age 7. My mother remarried Clifford Thompson, but died in a car crash shortly after WW2 ended.
