Bio and Links
Have been working on Family History research for about 8 years. Working on the Nottingham England Stapletons; Scots-Irish Gillies Lumber merchants and the Schmidt Mennonite farmers of New Hamburg. Now working on my wife's family - Smiths from Dornoch,Ont. and McCreadies from Sarnia - both emigrated from Scotland.
This site is a great way to finally find a "home" for the old black/white photos and the headstone pics stored in my computer.

Donald Smith Monument
Just to clarify the Smith brothers in Latona Cemetery. You have posted a monument for Donald Smith memorial #11584915 which is probably a monument for the Smith family, (according to the bio on Donald Smith states that he is buried in the same plot as his twin brother William Smith memorial #11584894).Should this monument also be posted for William Smith? I take it Donald Smith's name was not inscribed on this monument or anywhere else as no one has posted a stone with this. Thank you for your time and any light you can shed on this is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Elaine :-)

George Lester Wildman
Thanks Doug. It turns out the other Wildman in that cemetery, Ellenor, was George's second wife. Bob was very nice and sent me the link to her death certificate. I'll put together a bio for George later today listing his 3 wives, parents and the children I have come across. I also found a brother. But no parents; so maybe someday someone will get them posted. Since I know Elizabeth died in Flint; she must be buried there. Not so sure about his father, Richard.

George Lester Wildman
I see that you have taken over management of George Lester Wildman's memorial (50041762); so I'm going to assume you know something about the family. His father Richard Wildman and Elizabeth Abigail Chillson both died in Flint, MI. Do you know where? I would love to be able to link Elizabeth with her parents Jacob Hiram Chillson and Laura Williams. I'm working on the Chillson family.

Also do you know if George had 2 or 3 wives. I have 2, Roseanne Elizabet Major m 17 Jun 1876 Clinton, Canada (marriage record) and Hannah Park, m. 25 Dec 1907, Flint, MI.

RE: Minnie Waugh Smith
I was trying to find an online digital copy of the book but wasn't successful. I see that the Toronto City Library has a copy so I may try and order it. If you've been to the Waugh website at you will see that I'm trying to incorporate as many family stories and photos as I can. Are there any photos of James and Minnie and/or their children in the book? Any other information about Minnie and the Waugh side of the family? On her marriage certificate her mother's name is only given as Adeline, but on her death certificate it's given as "Ann Stewart". Any insight on that?

Any info you have would be great!

Thanks, Jeff.
