I have been interested in my family history since I was a kid asking my only grandparent about her ancestors during the 1960s. I'm now retired and have been working on building my family tree for the past 15 years of so. I am especially interested in my direct ancestors (including their siblings)and their stories-especially since these ancestors came to our shores. I REALLY like ancestoral photos. I beg, borrow and steal old photos of relatives, then scan them and fix them up using Photoshop Elements- improving fading, contrast, cleaning up tears, spills, etc. and then make really great reproductions available to anyone interested. I am especially interested in the following surnames: Kolb, Jakcsy, Dula, Arvai, Meinhart, Price, David, Motes/Moats, Weisenberger, Gebhart, Graham, Cordray, Cullimore, Hill, Baylor, Sill, and Olander. I discovered Find a Grave recently and have been registering my ancestors and their siblings trying to tie together family members whenever possible. I try to post pictures of the graves and the grave sites and try to give a little bit of family history. If you want to know more, I have a really great tree on Ancestry.com (Anne's Kolb/Jakcsy/Graham/Cordray Tree). I invite you to take a look. If you aren't a member of Ancestry and would like an invitation to be able to view the tree (even if you don't have an Ancestry subscription), please send me an email and request an invite. If you are related, let me know how you might be related to me. It's fun to meet distant relatives online!|

I am not the rules police, but every Find A Grave member is allowed to submit edits to any memorial. If you are irritated by that ... contact Find A Grave and see if they will change the entire system just for you.
I did not "go in and change people's memorials". I submitted suggested edits to you. You have 21 days to review them and either accept or decline to make the changes. If you don't do anything, the changes will automatically be made after 21 days. If you decline, I will forward them to management. They ALWAYS make the changes for me when you won't. I don't submit changes that are frivolous.
As an example, your memorials with last names or maiden names of "Motes/Moats" cannot be found by anyone doing a search. Besides the fact that they violate Find A Grave rules, that's a pretty good reason to change them, don't you think?
I have no interest in winning or influencing people. There is no popularity contest involved here. Just make your memorials comply with the rules and you'll never hear from me again.

"... stay out of my memorials. These are mine ..."
The memorials belong to Find A Grave, and you are simply the temporary custodian. As such, you are charged with maintaining memorials with correct information and following the rules of this website.
If you don't make the necessary corrections, others will do it for you. You also run the risk of having the memorials removed from your control and/or being banned from Find A Grave.

I'm correcting errors in your memorials. You're making enemies.

I have submitted a number of edit corrections for your memorials, which cover the following violations for naming rules:
Spelling variations are not permitted in any name field. Pick one for the name field and mention the others in the bio. In the case of the last name, it must match the last name on the grave marker.
Multiple married names are not permitted in any name field. Only the actual maiden name goes in the maiden name field and only the final married name goes in the last name field. All other married names can be mentioned in the bio.
All CAPS are not permitted in any name field.

Will you please tell me where you found that his middle name was Tillman? George Fenstermaker is my ancestor also, and of all the documents I have, I do not have him with a middle name of Tillman.
Now, George and his wife, Mary, had a son named George Tillman Fenstermaker. This son, was born in 1865 and died in 1915.
Would love to share any information you have on this family.

Finally got around to making these links you requested. Sorry for the delay.
The RCIP has her as Salome Bauer. They do not have the originals, but for everyone of her children it is listed as Bauer. Her place of birth varies, but most have Waldsee, Bavaria, Germany.

I sent you an invite from my ancestry.com tree. Frank Buell AKA Bruins is my great grand uncle, married to Catherine or Katherine Kolb, daughter of Joseph and his second wife Salome. Besides the Holy Sepulchre website, you may also be interested in www.rcip.info which is Rochester Churches indes project. Searches include baptism, marriages and deaths. I'm working on the baptisms for Kolb right now. There are 108 of them plus 177 burials at Holy Sepulchre. Mt Hope cemetery in Rochester is also a good place to find burials in Rochester. They even have indexes with plots and cause of death and where the death was. Good hunting.

We didn't get the snow when Buffalo got it. We only had a few inches, but that melted already. It was just starting to snow today when I was out taking pictures. Today the coast is getting a big storm, but that is missing us also.
Glad to help with the picture.
