My parents moved to another state when I was 6mos old, so I didn't grow up around family. I didn't know where my ancestors came from and I don't think my parents really knew how great their family was. I never really had grandparents
in my life, so I missed out on the family. stories passed down. I have lived in several states, but my heart is in North Carolina where I grew up...I now live in the deep south, it took getting used too, but after 12 years I call it home. My ancestors came over from Ireland and England, during the early 1600-1700's seeking religious freedom, with land grants from King George, and some as bond servants. I have found a lot of preachers, doctors, governors, soldiers and a famous CSA general, planters who owned large plantations in SC and Georgia, Maryland and Virginia...Who lost it all after the war. I am happy to know who they were, and hope what I do, will help others to meet their ancestors as others have helped me. Please DO Not ask me to add obits or transfer out of Guide lines...Thank You.
