Charles Bonney was my fourth great grandfather who had 11 children with two wives. this family moved from Ware, Hampshire,Mass. about 1820 and settled into Canton,N.Y. Many of my ancestors reside in Cantons 11 main cemeteries to inclide Jerusalem,Fairview, and DeKalb and Risley. My Bonneys ancestors derive from Pembroke,Plymouth,Mass.

I finally found the memorials that you were talking about. Neither memorial is mine. If you use the edit button it will automatically be sent to the owner of the memorial.

You had written:
Amelia A. Bates, commonly called Dighton, a name she shared with her maternal grandmother Dighton Paine Yale. I'm confused about her family. Thank you for any info.

RE: George Wesley Bare
Ted: I don't know of any Pattons or Evans that lived in Marion. They all lived in the Jackson Twp, Paris, Iowa Area. James Patton came to Linn Co, after his wife died and in his later years and stayed in Paris, IA around his evans relatives. James Patton Born July 7, 1859 I'm not sure where. He lived and farmed in the Wright Co, IA for many years. Julia A. Evans was the daughter of Turner and Nancy Beliza Fleming Evans. She was a teacher in Linn and Wright Co's She met James there and they were married March 6, 1890 in Wright. They were farmers. Julia met an untimely death. She was busy preparing dinner for extra hand. There was a small can of kerscene sitting near the stove. It fell on the stove and caused an explosion. She was burned badly and only lived a few days after that. She died Oct 6, 1926 and is buried at Mt Hope Cemetery, Wright co, IA.
They are both entered in Find A Grave under Mt hope Cemetery so you can look them up.They had a son and a grandson if you want more info.

RE: George Wesley Bare
Ted: The george Bare that I have listed died in 2009 in Marion. He had a bad stroke in the early 1900's or before. he couldn't talk after that. He spent mamy years in a Care center before he died. The only Patton related to us was James Patton who married Julia Evans. He died in Paris, Linn Co 1947 but is buried in Wright Co, IA. There were other Patton families living in the area, I just don't know of them.
Nancy Beliza Fleming, daughter of John Jessman Fleming and Elizabeth McCurry (or something like that. They lived in Jefferson Co, IN when I first found them. Nancy married Turner Evans and they moved to Linn Co, IA Her mother, Elizabeth and 3 or 4 sons moved to Linn Co before that. (James, John, Samuel and William)
I don't know if any of this is any help to you.

RE: our congers
Hi Ted. I am sorry I missed you. I have been sick for the last few days and did not get around to contacting you. I did get the message you left for me on my mothers machine. This weekend I will be without kids so I will give you a call then when I can have a few minutes without hearing "mom".
