Bio Photo Hello Fellow Gravers!

Genealogy has been my full time hobby for the past three years. I spend most of my free time graving and ansearching. In my "real" life, I work in the criminal justice field, but I was able to spend most of 2010 proudly working for the U.S. Census Bureau and learned to greatly appreciate proper genealogical documentation!

I am a second-generation native Floridian that moved to East Tennessee three years ago. I am glad to be up in the South and close to the homelands of my ancestors! I love fulfilling photo requests and appreciate the good karma that comes along with it! Adventuring to local cemeteries helps me get to know the area and I discover some beautiful places. Most of the memorials I add are not relatives, and I am happy to transfer them.

I am currently working on the following families and would love to collaborate:

CAIN, COOK, PRITCHARD and RICHARDSON in Western North Carolina
MONK, HELMS, GRANTHAM, PARRISH, STANDRIDGE, STOVER and YOUNGBLOOD in Northern & Southern Georgia and Northern & Central Florida

*Permission is granted to use my photographs on this site for your own personal genealogy records and to add to your ancestry.com files privately. I must be contacted before using any of my photographs in any published or credited work.*

Happy Graving!

Youngblood/Tanner
Greetings! I am hoping that based on your post we are Youngblood relations? If so, how wonderful.

Thank you for your message regarding the photo of John Tanner which you believe to be Elijah Youngblood. I've got some information, but it would be a long discussion. Would you mind emailing me directly at sbuete@gmail.com for more?

I'd also love to know if/how we are related!

Pritchard Cemetery
my great-great grandparents are buried there also. Luke Cross, et-al. I originally got the information from the Randolph County Library many years ago and ran across it in my files (which I have never digitized). The gent who took the pictures in the cemetery is the real hero in this story. It is my understanding that just getting to the cemetery is a real trip. It is located in the Randolph County Landfill but he has assured me that it is protected.

RE: Straw Plains Cemetery?
Good Morning! Sorry it took me awhile to see this. Strawberry Plains Cemetery is just past the Jefferson County line on your left traveling on Andrew Johnson Hwy (11E). Turn left on Old Dandridge Pike, and left again at the stop (Old Andrew Johnson Hwy.), the cemetery is on your left. It is right behind Rush Strong School in the business district. It was tricky for me to find too! Happy Hunting, Kathy King!!

Thank You!
Thank you for posting the Calvary Catholic Cemetery graves. My great grandfather was orphaned by the time he was 8, so information from that part of the family is sketchy at best. We have his mother's wedding band which gave us a lead, but with a name like James Kennedy you can imagine the haystack I've been digging through to find his father. His mother, Mary, died the one year Tennessee decided not to issue death certificates. So again this record and photo are priceless to my family's history. Thank you for helping me fill in these holes in our family's history.
Sincerely,
J Hall
