We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

I have done as you requested. I don't know much about that particular Townsend line except that they came to Ohio from Virginia. They are related to my former husband only thru marriage, even though he was a Townsend he came thru the line of Townsend's in Scipio Twp., Meigs Co., Ohio who came from Maine. His mother (my mother-in-law) was related to the line of Townsends who settled in what is now Vinton Co., Ohio but are buried in Temple Cemetery also. (related only by marriage, she was a Queen) (to my knowledge there is no connection to the the three families unless it is back in England.) There were 5 seperate families of Townsend's at one time in Meigs Co. I don't know anything about Rachel Townsend Mace. You will have to ask the creator of her memorial, where he got the info. Be careful using someone elses research such as "The Solomon Townsed Book". I did the same thing (early in my research) with "The Bradbury Memorial" and got burned. Good Luck. Robin Fife.
|Robin (Cottingham) Townsend-Fife||RE: Mary Harvey Hopkins|
In 1981 when I first saw the cemetery and tried to read it, it was so overgrown that all the stones could not be found. We had to hack ( with knives & hatches found in our cars) our way thru. My friends Helen & Ronnie Scott of Albany, (both deceased now) were instrumental in getting it mowed and cleaned up. (Ronnie knew the township trustees!).
I removed the note but left the inscription which states that Mary was the daughter of Rev. James H. & Jane Hopkins. The one photo you posted for Mary was apparently the one I found, but the other one (Monument), I never saw. Where does it give Harvey as their last name? All I can read is Mary & Theodore At Rest.
Use EDIT and give me the # of the father's & mother's memorials at Alexander Cem. Hibbardsville and I will add them to Mary's memorial. Robin Fife
|Dalton Johnson||RE: Charles Pierce Jr.|
Yes you can use pictures however you wish, the strange thing is that there are no Charles Pierce or Mary Pierce at Corozal Cemetary. If you have more info I will help. I know he was moved from Mt Hope to Corozal but no other info available on my end.
You have my permission to use the photos I uploaded to Fin a grave.

Someone has duplicated 12 of my memorials, one being Mary Hussey that you added a dupicate photo to. The dates in your photo is clearer than mine. Would you mind adding your picture to my memorial? Thank You
