I am descended from the Gettier line. Two Gettier sisters married two Casparis brothers. I have quiet a bit about both lines. And I'm willing to share info.

RE: Union Cemetery
I intend to complete the whole Union cemetery when I have the time. This church is where my husband grew up and we were married there and all my children were too. I know just about everybody in the cemetery, so when I get ready to add all the pictures, I hope that I can get management so I can add links. I pictured about half of the Howell Missionary Baptist Church Monday and will work on the rest later. It's so Hot out there. I grew up in that community so I am either related or know just about everybody there. I am not doing any other complete ones now. I just answer the request and get pictures, sorry I did not claim them so you would not have to go too. If I can help you in any way, please let me know. Do you live in the Lucedale area? Thanks, Betty

Union Cemetery
Elizabeth,
I did not realize that you had claimed the pictures for Union Cemetery in George Co., MS. I have already taken those pictures and will be glad to post them, if you have not already got them. Please let me know.

RE: James Buchanan Parker Cemetery
Elizabeth, that is SO exciting! I wonder how long it has been since anyone has been in that cemetery?? I visited one a few months ago that was completely overgrown... I found out about it accidentally. In a random conversation, my husband told me about an old family cemetery that he used to visit with his parents when he was a child. It belonged to his mother's grandparents' family and was located in a wooded area on the edge of their old farm. His parents sold that farm a few years ago and the state now uses it as a forest preserve. He and I hiked through the land one Sunday afternoon and after spending about an hour and a half of getting all scratched up and even wading through a creek (the land is very overgrown now), we couldn't find it. We were finally able to locate it after talking to his mother. It was such a cool experience.
I'll msg you with my address - when you get your dvd/vhs set up, please let me know what the postage fees are and the costs to make the copy and I will reimburse you. I am so appreciative of this!
I don't know Grady, but I'm sure that my Aunts and Uncles do. I'm going to try to get in touch with them so I can ask.

RE: James Buchanan Parker Cemetery
Oh! I am so jealous! I would love to visit the Lazarus Walley Cemetery... I hope you are able to find it. I know what you mean about time consuming with going through the pictures. I've photographed a few cemeteries here (I'm living out of state right now) and going through the photos is an all day process. I enjoy it, though.
Thanks so much for all of your work...
I hope you have fun today - and good luck!

RE: James Buchanan Parker Cemetery
Thank you for checking into it, Elizabeth! I know I've come across many cemeteries that are called by several different names by the locals. Maybe that's the case with this one, too.
Thanks again!
