Hello. I live in Northeast Alabama, but my family is from Alabama, Georgia, and south central Kentucky.|
My husband & I live near Weiss Lake in Cherokee Co., AL. I am from DeKalb Co., AL, my dad is from Kentucky. I love looking up info about my "people". I am usually on ancestry.com but a cousin told me about this site. I am the genealogist in my family. I am a member of Cherokee County Historical Society.
Preserving the past, for the future.

I appreciate you doing that. I think that is all for now--most of the rest are buried at Alpine Cemetery.I like to try to get families linked when I know the info is correct. I think it helps folks with their searches.
I would also appreciate you looking for George the next time you are there. That would be GREAT!!!

I saw the pictures you took of Mt. Olive Church and Cemetery. I spent my day today trying to find it, with no luck I might add. I think my great-great grandfather is buried there. Could you please tell me where this church is located on Lookout Mountain? I would appreciate it so much.
Thanks. John was a Civil War Veteran fighting in a Union regiment from Alabama.
