Jenkins
Hi, my name is Gwen Sherman and I am researching the Jenkins family. My dear friend, Rachel Jenkins Carter is 87 and I am doing a family tree for her. Her father was Farrell Early Jenkins. Do you have a tree on ancestry or another way I can contact you? Thank you so much for your time.

RE: Mary Doris Jenkins Campbell
Thank you for responding. My only memory is of my grandmother and parents going to his funeral and later news that their son had died in a plane crash. Anything you can provide would be appreciated. I don't even have a picture.

Mary Doris Jenkins Campbell
Mary Doris Jenkins Campbell, Find A Grave Memorial# 38096535. In reviewing this memorial I noted you attached a photograph of Doris. My grandmother's brother Ted McDaniel was married to her but I have little information. Do you possibly know the year and/or place they were married, have a copy of her obit, or a picture of her and Ted. My grandmother's photographs were largely distroyed and I am trying to put a family history record together.

Thank you for your time.

I appreciate it. I wasn't sure if all the graves were entered into Find A Grave already or not. :)

Cowans
Susan, Thank you very much for your effort in trying to locate members of the William Cowan family. Especially with three children...the one in your picture looks like a handsome handfull of a youngster. Does Thyatira Cemetery have an inventory of graves by name/location? That can be a big help. I've looked for one online but didn't find. Perhaps if you can locate William (Find A Grave#22460005) the others are in the same area? These do go a way back to late 1700s and as you point out the elements have taken their toll, especially as they used soft stones in those days. Thanks, Sam

Jane Cowan
Susancatherine, Thank you so much for the photo of Jane Cowan's headstone and the stone transcription. There are apparently two Jane Cowan's in Thyatira; unfortunately the other one is apparently my target. The second is Jane Steele Cowan. Her husband was William Cowan and they lost a young daughter, Nancy. All are, according to records, in Thyatira.
Again, thank you...Sam Steele
