Ms Curtis -
I saw that you submitted a personal tree to Ancestry which contains photos of some of the family of PFC Robert James Hatch, who remains unaccounted-for from the Battle for Tarawa during World War II, and am hoping that you can help me.
I am researching PFC Hatch's family as a possible source for a Family Reference Sample (FRS) to identify his remains as (according to my research) he had no sister's which would convey the mitochondrial DNA preferred.
PFC Hatch is not a family member of mine. I am a civilian volunteer trying to locate living relatives of our unaccounted-for heroes so that I can put them in touch with the Service Casualty Officer of their respective branch to make a family reference sample (FRS, or DNA) donation. The ultimate goal is to positively identify the remains of these soldiers in order to bring them home.
Should you have any questions, comments, requests and/or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for the information. I've linked his wife and added headstones.
