Hi Bruce, thanks for the information on the Condor family. If you are related, I will be more than happy to transfer management to you. You can let me know through one of their memorials. God bless you.

RE: Lewis Sherman Winters
I have no Winters in this branch in Missouri. In 1900 you can find Joel living with Sherman in Hickman. Joel lived with Sherman the rest of his life and never married. Joseph Robert married in 1886 in Hickman. John W married in 1887 in Humphreys. Luphelia married in Benton, Tn and by 1900 was in Hickman. Sherman married in 1899 in Hickman. Sidney lives with Sherman in 1900 but the 1918 draft registration he is back in Lewis County farming. There is little or no information on the rest of the siblings. Father Wm R Winters was in Lewis Co in 1880 and then there is no record I have found after that. Lucretia Hudson Winters has no found records after 1880. There is an unsourced record on ancestry stating she died in 1888 in Tennessee, nothing else specified. What source says that Lewis Sherman and Joel were even at this Church? Too bad the records between 1880 and 1900 are so sketchy as this is what you really need. Kathy

RE: Lewis Sherman Winters
Lewis Sherman was married to Lucretia Hudson, daughter of Brantley Jones Hudson who is buried in Condor Cemetery. Sherman, his parents and siblings were all in Humphreys or Hickman County by 1890 or 1900. John Riley HUTSON killed in the Masssacre is also buried in Condor. I have wondered if this the same family although the change in name spelling at the cemetery. I had temporarily added him to my tree, as a son of Brantley, under a different wife, hoping to find a link but so far have not. If you have evidence that Sherman and family were there, it makes sense. I have no knowledge of that. There is a catch. Brantley had another son, John R, but he died in 1856. There are many articles online. I have seen a newspaper clipping (not the original) but cannot find it right now. Keep me posted how this turns out. Oh, the skeltons in our closets..............Kathy

RE: Memorial 70735768 Brantley Jones Hudson
I found out about the massacre when researching my 3rd Great Grandfather (Jesse Manuel Mathis)and was very intrigued about his brother's role in the event and other family member's roles.

Memorial 70735768 Brantley Jones Hudson
Hi Bruce,

Are you related to Brantley Jones Hudson (70735768) or is this just for your research?

Brantley Jones Hudson is my 4th Great Grandfather who had a daughter, Rosie Ann Hudson (GGG Grandmother), who married Jesse Manuel Mathis. As you might know, Jesse Manuel Mathis is the brother of Ruben Mathis (role in Massacre events). I read your blog...great information.
