I recently visited Franklin Cemetery. You are free to cross the private property. There is access granted. It is about a 2+ mile hike. It is a fun trek. However the cemetery grave markers are spred out a little but has been recently cleaned out by the Black Diamond Historical Society. I took pictures of most but many were difficult to read.
I thought this might be helpful.

That is great!!! As it turns out there are or were three memorials for Joseph...popular guy.
I asked the three people managing these memorials to see if they could get it down to one memorial. I got and email this morning indicating that may have happened, but will check it out.
My feeling is you will find his marker at Franklin. If you do, please see if you can get all the information off the marker. Apparently it is moss covered and you can read it from a photo. And please take a photo....after all this, I am not sure about the photos on the three memorials
And lastly, a memorial for his brother, Edey (Edward), that is maintained by one of the three indicates that Joseph and Edey are buried together and share the same marker. Edey's info is b. 1 Jan 1890, d. 13 Feb 1893. Edey's memorial says that inscription on Joseph/Edey's marker is "Dear Sons". This would indicate they are there together. But, there was a third son, stillborn, b. 20 Nov 1895, d. 20 Nov 1895.
Having said all this, please see if there is any indication of more than one Standridge buried there.
I appreciate your help with this. This is the first time I have run across three memorials and two, possibly three, brothers buried together.
Will let you know about Joseph's memorial, one memorial, when that is resolved.
Thank you so much, Ken

I have just been told that there is a second memorial for Joseph Standridge at the Franklin Cemetery...and it has photos. But, I do not see his brother Edey on it (the back is not shown).
So I do not not know what to say, except if you have not yet gone to the Catholic cemtery, do not go...
Right now it looks like Joseph is at the Franklin cemetery (at the mine)...and maybe his brother is there also. I guess I will have to put in a request for the Franklin cemetery. Are you close to that one???
Very sorry for this problem....

You are so welcome. My husband and I had fun finding the grave. Went out to lunch too!
