Can You Help Me?
My Great-Grandmother was Sarah Johnson, sister of
Nancy. She was married to Albert Hickman whose death certificate shows his date of death as 4/23/1874. It states that he was buried in Mount
Cemetery in Murphytown, but he is not listed as being buried there. I thought maybe he is buried in the same area as the Lowers. Thomas and Nancy are on the certificate as witnesses. Do you know if there are any unmarked graves in that area? We
have been trying to find him for a long time!

Stiers Family History
Hi Stephen, I know Ellen wrote a book about the Stiers family who settled in Clermont County, Ohio, in the early 1800s. She said she was a direct descendant of Jacob Stires who I believe married a Delaware Indian named Ruhama. I have been unable to find a copy of her book even just to look at. If you happen to have a copy would you look to see if there is any mention of Jacob's son Henry who would have been born around 1789. If so is there any mention of his children? I have hit a dead end trying to research this branch of my family tree and was excited to learn of Ellen's book. Gary
