Homer, Ill. Aug. 18.¾(Special)¾Daniel Walton Street died at 11 o'clock last night in the eastern part of town at the age of 74, years, 11 months and 17 days. He had never fully recovered from injuries received when he fell from a barn on which he was working near Urbana about a year ago.
Mr. Street was born in Clark county, Illinois, September 20, 1853, a son of James Street and Jane Leggett Street, both natives of Ohio.
He was married March 13, 1870, at Moline Kan., to Hannah Belcher , and nine children, seven of whom survive, were born to them. The eldest child died in infancy and a daughter, Eudora Tippett, at the age of 20 years.
The surviving children are, Nellie Little, of Dana, Ind.; Samuel Street, of Boroda, Mich.; Laura Stackhouse, of Fairmount; Thomas Street of Louisana, Alberta, Can.; Margaret Hillery and Bertha Hillery of Homer, and Joseph Street of Homer. There are 23 grandchildren.
Four brothers and two sisters, also survive. They are: William Street of Triplet, Mo., John L. of Dobe, Kan., James of Moline, Kan., Charles of Dodge City, Kan., Isabel Taggart of Alrayal, Ark., and Melissa Bonnell of Oklahoma City.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Christian church, of which the decedent had long been a member with Rev. Mr. Williams in charge. Burial will be made in G. A. R. cemetery.
