ladora Dimick
Hi John
I haven't worked with this family for awhile and no specific birth record for Sarah has been found. I agree based on the info on the grave stone Sarah's birth date is June 9, 1812 and I corrected the Find A grave page to reflect this. I believe that the name difference for Ladora is the stone mason's error since both Sarah and Edward graves have the name spelt correctly. Although Edward and Sarah may have changed the spelling after Ladora died. I have found so many different spellings for Dimick. For my data base i use the spelling The my Grandfather used. Edward and Sarah are my great great grandparents. How are you related.

North Cemetery Coventry CT
Hi John,
Usually someone else in town takes photos at this cemetery so I leave it alone...but noticed your photo request was there for a couple of months. I went up there today and fulfilled your request for Ichabod Jewett d 12 Mar 1811...also took a photo of the gravestone of Harriot Jewett d 1811 and his wife (I assume) Janet d 1793 buried next to him.

It is a nice older cemetery..surrounded by a stone wall....still in use today...although all the available plots have been sold. It is maintained by 2nd Congregational Church who have several former ministers buried there and I believe was once called Minister's Hill.

Let me know if I can be of further help,

RE: Solomon and Jennie Wollan
Sorry, no, just curious if she was a second wife or a sister.

RE: Solomon and Jennie Wollan
I fixed Jennie's name - was Martha Solomon's sister?

RE: Dimock/Staples in South Amherst Cemetery
You're welcome! I thought your name looked familiar and realized I'd fulfilled another request last month when I was on vacation in Pennsylvania. Thanks for your message and I'm glad I could help out here in Massachusetts as well.

Mary Covert
John: I reviewed the photos I took of the Covert Family stone and was unable to do any better than the photos that Susan Rudinsky has posted to the memorials. In my last message I said that there were five stones in front of the main stone. In Susan's posting there are clearly six, which included Ada's, which is either standing or lying on the ground (see all family photos). Her posting was in Mid April and I took mine last week. Hopefully cemetery personnel have the stone for Ada and will put it back in place.

Mary Covert-Orwell North Cemetery
John: I went to Orwell North to find Mary Covert's Grave Stone. The photo currently on Find A Grave is current. The dates are really worn out, so I could not read the dates. As you look at the grave stone in the photo: S. H. and Mary Covert on the front facing you. James and Jane Covert on the left side. Edgar Covert on the back side and Ada Covert on the right side. The five small stones in front of it read, from left to right: James, Jane, Edgar, Father, Mother. (Only thing on these stone) There was no stone for Ada. I did take some more photos and will look at them when I get back home (I am in the area doing some family research) to see it I can make out the dates better. Hope this helps
