Kind regards

RE: Jiraneks family
Hello, I believed that they had had other child. It is sad. I would like to tell you their family story. At our beginning there were 3 kids - Jenovefa, Josef (your Joseph senior, 1986 in Libnatov), Frantisek (our branch). Jenovefa lived longer time in Egypt and had no kids. Josef in America. When Jenovefa returned to Czechoslovakia she built house which is now in our ownership.
From Frantisek side: He had probably (it is my nescience) more children - among them there was grandma of my husband (mum of my mother in law Hana - 1948). She (niece of Joseph senior) mooved to live in the house of Jenovefa, she took care about her grandma (mother of Joseph senior) there (I think). Joseph senior still kept connection with them (correspondence). The house of Jenovefa is now under reconstruction by my mother in low. She had very close relationship with her mother and whole family. She found correspondence of Joseph to her mother. There is no letter (maybe later we will find :)), but several photos of him, Joseph jr (child), Helen and Pamela at her 3, correspondence address (Ward 22, Chicago). I geuss he was very proud of her. We did not now she died but I have found an article in archive of Chicago tribune (7.Jan 1968, p.12) about that sad accidant, there was also name of her mother. And I started to search, found the graves and you. If you are interested in that photos (around 5 photos) (I can scan them to you. I know it is not your blood so I understand you are not.)
My mother in low she told me he (joseph sr) wanted to visit Bohemia but it was not possible (2.WW, communism). I have found about Joseph Jr (your ancle) he was passionate philatelist - member of Czechoslovak Philatelistic Community (Still active in Czechoslovak questions despite the fact he was born in America.) He should study czech school in America (in Chicago there was big czech community). My mum in low she remembers that in 50th or 60th part of herritage (after mother or sister of Joseph Sr.) went to America.
I was born in 1980 and I am first generation who started learning english that s why my mother in low turned at me and ask me to help to find someone from that Joseph branch. Everything started with tiding up the property.
Uff, OK, too long letter, maybe incomprehensible to you and finally not interesting because it is far from your life. Nevertheless, I had to write everything to someone.
Kind regards
Katka

Daliege
Hello, I found the information via google actually. I took the photo of the grave (I was just walking around the cemetery taking pictures of graves) and I googled the name to try and find anything to corroborate the spelling as I was unsure if it said "Daliege" or "Daliece" and I found that info. I will send you the link. I will add the info on Caroline in the memorial if you wish, they are already linked as family members.

RE: Kleist Families in Portage
You're welcome! I do believe my cat is a Russian Blue. He was given to our family as a kitten and I have nothing to confirm that he is. However, I did some internet research and he not only looks like one, but he has the characteristics of one too. In the picture on my profile page, he had climbed our 6 foot ladder and was just looking around when my son took his picture.
