Kay's monument
Hi Sylvia,

Look at at Kay's memorial now! Today I went to the cemetery, and found out why there was no grass growing on the grave. A beautiful setting.

Kay Pilgrim Stroud
Hi Sylvia, I looked at the picture I posted, and can see how it appreared to you to be a flat slab. Actually, that is just the bare ground. I went to photograph it a couple of weeeks ago, and could not find her grave at all. I found a Pilgrim plot in another area, and there are no new graves there at all.

I phoned Gassett Funeral Home, and learned exactly how to find Kay's grave, and that the stone had not yet been erected, but was expected to be installed in the next 4-6 weeks.

So Tuesday, 2 weeks after my first visit, I went back to the cemetery, and looked in the right area. I found the new, unmarked grave. you saw in the picture, beside the grave of Kay's brother, Douglas Terrell Pilgrim. I thought it was charming, with the flowers, ceramic angel, cross and flowered "Grandma", and that it must be Kay. I photographed it, and posted it for Bruce, also telling him that when the marker is in place, I will make that picture.

I also emailed him a separate photo of Doug's stone, which he used for Doug's memorial.

RE: Martin Tombstone Photos - Prattville Memorial Gardens
The Martin you mentioned next to my aunt, uncle, and two cousins, isn't related to us as far as I know. I went through the other Martins who have "Find A Grave" memorials and didn't recognize any of the others wither. Thank you again for your help. Pat Cronin
