Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired technical analyst for Regions Bank. I also spent 25 years in the military. I worked in web design in my last few years with Regions and have hosted several websites. I have used Findagrave for several years and now that I am retired, it is time to give back. I want to do some data capture on the cemeteries in Faulkner County, Arkansas soon.

RE: Ten Mile Church of the Brethren
Hi Don,
The medal of honor marker in Ten Mile Church of the Brethren cemetery is for Thomas A. Anderson. There are a few cemeteries in the area that have similar names which confuses things. There are also some cemeteries that have gone by different names at different times. I do think that this one was also referred to as the Dunkard Cemetery. If you look at Boyd Crumrine's History of Washington County, it included some history on many of the area churches. You can find scanned images of the book online in several places (Google Books, Chartiers.com website, Heinz History Center Library and Archives. It may help clarify some of the names and clear up some of the confusion. I've not heard of "Plantation Cemetery" in Washington. Is it possible that the Shidler family lived on a "plantation" and the family cemetery was on that land and was called "Plantation Cemetery"?. One of my Hill ancestors married Hannah Shidler. If you have any info on any Hill's, I would love to know. I'm trying to verify that Hannah's husband was indeed from my Hill family from that area of Washington Co.

RE: Jessie Lackie
Don, thank you for all your efforts. Our mother grandmother g-grandmother, Sulie, is buried there. But our father grandfather g-grandfather is actually bured in Brownsville Cemetery in Lonoke with his second wife. We have contacted the person who created this memorial to see how he is listed there, and if we can confirm there is not a memorial to honor him, may request she remove the Thorn listing. Again, thank you for all your help.

Don,

Thank you or taking the photo of Rogers marker for me. Is it OK with you if I copy your photo to my genealogy files?
