I have visited cemeteries for many years. Family history is a hobby I really enjoy. My grandmother Deola Mae Wenner Merriott got me started and others, such as cousin James Clayton Kirksey, encouraged me.Some of the surnames I research:GOATESHENRYKIRKSEYMERRIOTTREDDELLWAGNERWASSONWENNERWOMACKI love Civil War history. Six of my ancestors were Confederate veterans. In the last few years I have been researching members of Cocke's Company, Benavides' Cavalry Regiment. This company served along the Texas-Mexico Border and fought in the last battle of the Civil War, the Battle of Palmito Ranch, near Brownsville, Texas.|

Thank you for the transfer. We loved her very much and some of my fondest memories are going to her home when I was young.
Mr. Merriott: Thank you so much for the transfer of Charles D. Bishop (#82172387) in Millikens Bend, Madison Parish, Louisiana.
I really appreciate it.

I've been looking for the Cocke cemetery for a while. It was cleaned up during a Boy Scout's Eagle project in 2007. Your welcome.
No problem...Thank you for the message!
