My wife is descended from Richard Townley b.1764, d.1840, Son of Effingham Townley b.1729, d. 1818.I am trying to verify details of Richard's wife Mary (Polly?) Lewis b. 1766, d. 1825. Good day to you. Your memorial has Ora buried in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park but the office has no record of him. I suggest sending an e-mail to Bowling Green State University's Archives Dept. to ask for burial info. They maintain a lot of the local burial information and they may have his cemetery. Good luck.

Geniequeen: Your note on the Col. Richard Townley memorial page is correct in that Charles Townley did have a son Effingham, but Col. Richard's first son, Charles' elder brother, was also named Effingham. I'm descended from Charles through his daughter Elizabeth, and I haven't pursued any of the Effingham lines myself. | | |
