I have been a history teacher for thirty years and the caretaker of Sand Hill Cemetery for 6 years. In addition to the normal duties of mowing and trimming, I have developed an interest in headstone restoration and local history based on those buried at Sand Hill. I have found this site, Find a Grave, to be an invaluable resource in the classroom and look forward to being a contributor hoping my additions will be of some future benefit. Sadie, pictured here, is my companion and Supervisor.|

|Kem Hart-Baker||Headstone for Vernon Austin|
As the caretaker of the cemetery, would your records indicate the relationship of Clyde and Hattie (Hudson) Glassick or explain why Vernon's name is included on their headstone??
Any help would be most appreciated as to solving this mystery for me.
Sincerely, Kem Hart-Baker

Thank you so very much for your time and effort in regards to taking the photos of Vernon's headstone and those of his wife's parents. You've gone above and beyond what most would accomplish, especially at this time of year. Your effort is most appreciated by the family.
Kem Hart-Baker (great granddaughter of Vernon's father's (Fred Henry Stephen Austin) brother, Elon Clark Austin)
