Douglas County Genealogy Club is planning to walk the Woodlawn and Parkland Cemeteries on July 5th, weather permitting. I am writing to invite you and Janine to the annual picnic with Twin Ports Genealogical Society. It will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church Social Hall located at 24th Ave W. and 3rd St., Duluth. The hours are 6-8:30 PM on Monday June 6th. Please bring a dish to share and serving utensils. Hope to see you there.

Grandfather Schorr
My grandfather disappeared in 1932. I have checked the unknown for Parkland. I have also found some recordings of unknown's buried in Parkland found on the Twin Port Genealogy web site. Now we all know most of the people were very poor in those lean years. It is my understanding, that the records from Parkland were sent to Madison to be archived, many were lost. Is this correct?? Do you know if they took pictures of the deceased as a form of record ? was there physical descriptions of these unknowns? I am asking because, Grand dad left behind a wife, 5 children & number 6 due in 4 months. He left to cash his pay voucher ..never to return...That voucher was never redeemed. He had just gotten his first pay from " Twin Port " from the job he had secured the week before. He worked for the Soo Line R.R.before they became part of Chicago Western( I may have this name wrong , I am trying to write this from memory ). My mother and 3 siblings were placed in St. Joshep's Childrens Home, there in Superior, Wis. .The two youngest left with their Mother to be raised on state "Relief" (AKA Welfare) .

Fine Cemetery-Camp Branch
My husband and I just made a trip to Montgomery Co., Missouri. Tried to find the Fine Cemetery but didn't find it. I think we were in the right vicinity but have never been able to get directions. My ancestors are buried there. Do you know where it is and have directions. Vickie Brinlee

In the news
Hi Keith,

I just saw the story of your work on Fox 21 news, this morning. Thanks for all you're doing.

Is there anything I can do to help? I've done a lot of volunteering at cemeteries. Please let me know if you need a hand with anything.
