| Bio and Links | I am a retired CPA who has been doing genealogy off and on for 25 years. I have really been able to spend more time on it since I retired 6 years ago. Most of my research for my family is centered in Eastern TN since both my parents were born there, even though my mother grew up in Iowa.
I am researching many different lines: Courtney, Susong, Parrish, Estes are the main ones along with Lane, Parman, Gibbs, and Cantwell.
I am willing to help anyone who wants to exchange information on any of the above lines. | |

 | Garrett Lane Hi Ron,
To answer your question about Garrett Lane:
I have 10 Garrett Lane's in my tree! Luckily only one is married to a Sarah - so I'm guessing this might be the Garrett and Sarah you are asking about. This Garrett was born 30 Nov 1834 Jefferson Co, TN died 28 Jul 1900 Hamblen Co, TN. Married Sarah Estes @ 1870. Garret was the son of John S. Lane and Elizabeth Louisa West. John was the son of Samuel Lane and Linda Moore. Samuel was the son Tidence Lane and Hester Van Bibber. My husband is also a descendant of Tidence. We had DNA testing done which verified that he descends from the Col. Samuel Lane (1628 - 1682) line. We still have a missing gap in the 1800 time period though that I wish we could fill in!Added by L Lane on Aug 02, 2011 1:33 PM | | | BookGoddess
