James Jacobs #51598563
You had left me a message several months ago that my memorial for James was for a different James based on the family links. I finally got around to working on that part of my tree and discovered you were correct. I've modified this memorial to be for the correct James and am looking for info on the James Jacobs that lived in Keokuk Co., IA in 1850. Thanks for the heads up. Sherman Crouch

Norcross/Bradley and family
Hi. Thanks for your email edit suggestion(s). Some of the Bradley childrens' memorials have already been established by other Find A Grave members and so I have sent edits to them to show the relationship to Henry and Elizabeth. I have established a couple myself and, as you are related to the Norcross/Bradley families (and I am not), I have transferred ownership of them to you together with any other Norcross/Bradley memorials originated by me.

I mentioned previously that the records here show Verna Norcross to be the child of Frederick and Edna Norcross - not, as you have noted, David and Sarah. However, I see you have now upgraded the notation to a relationship link. Do you have records that indicate that David and Sarah are the parents? As I said before the New Zealand Births, Deaths and Marriages register lists Frederick and Edna as the parents. If you have proof of different parentage perhaps I could refer the NZ BDM registrar to that source and ask them to investigate the accuracy of their files.

Verna Kenyon Norcross
Hi. I have put a photograph against Verna's memorial. Unfortunately there is no headstone or marker but I have shown where the burial plot is located and captioned the photograph as such.

I see that you have a note on the memorial stating that Verna was the daughter of David and Sarah Norcross. However, the NZ Births, Deaths and Marriages register shows the parents as Frederick and Edna Ruby (Andrews) Norcross. I believe that Frederick was David's younger brother.

This fits with the fact that they were married in 1911 and in Nelson in 1913/1914 before moving to the Taranaki where they are buried (Inglewood).

Josephine Jacobs Toomay
in regards to you question about where I obtained my information about the parentage of Josephine - I got my information from her death certificate #27970. I am not related to this person, I took a few extra photos when I visited the cemetery. Would you like me to transfer Her memorial over to you since you are related?

Thank you so much for your email and sharing your story with me. I am happy I was able to play a small part in this mystery.

My thanks to you and your friend's for the efforts taken to return the stolen stone where it belongs.

Florence Brasier
Now why would someone create a duplicate entry knowing that one was there before. A good graver would have merely said...Flo is buried here (insert name of cemetery) and I have added a photo of her marker.
Knowing that you created a duplicate entry is against Find A Grave's guidelines.

Many thanks for the heads up...

Happy taphophiling

If you would like I will transfer these people to you. I am not related, just was out at Hicksville and entered several headstones.

Daniel Rickter
Third time is the charm.
Will you please explain to me the reason for the different surnames, so that I may link Daniel Rickter and Daniel Larson?
