Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Bedford -Stuyvesant Brooklyn in 1952.
I am presently a Missionary and Pastor in the Payatas area of the Philippines.

I would also like to make a statement. those of us who make these memorials for genealogy purposes feel a close connection with all our ancestors. When you refuse to transfer someone you do not have a connection, please know that you are depriving a family member of being the caretaker of that memorial. I would love to hear why some people do that.

I would think that everyone would want to transfer memorials to relatives. After all, they still get the credit for creating it and the relative can get contacts with family members seeking information. I have asked sometimes, those who have created memorials if they know anything about them and they did not. How much greater had a relative seeking to claim it would have received it and could share information.

RE: Hugh Stevenson Londonderry
Hello again Jack

I am afraid it doesn't look like the same family. Have never come across any Samuel In our Stevenson family.
Kind regards, Deirdre

Hello Jack

Thanks for your reply re Hugh Stevenson. I don't know if there is any connection or not with my Hugh Stevenson. What was the name of your ancestor, who was the son or daughter of Hugh Stevenson?

Regards., Deirdre

Hugh Stevenson Londonderry
I noticed that you had left a message for Bob Dennis about a Hugh Stevenson - possibly buried in the City Cemetery, Londonderry.

Is Hugh Stevenson related to you? Not sure if it is the same Hugh Stevenson, but there is a grave there for Hugh Stevenson, my gt gt grandfather.

Regards. Deirdre McClure

The four Pettit's that you found that I added to find a grave are all in one plot. I transferred the memorials to you so that you can add information to their pages. Next time I am at Forest Lawn I will see if I can find the lot again and take a photo of the entire lot.

RE: Borntrager
Hey no problem always ask, I still do, that is how we understand. Unmarked means there is no head stone/marker it is a private grave. Where your other relatives (the kids) they are in a mass grave (unmarked) in St. Albans section. Many cemeteries set aside so many graves for the poor as in Holy Cross a catholic person can still be buried in a catholic cem. and it is or was cheaper. Now pending your finances and your lineage to the owner of the plot (Cemetries have rules that govern this) you would be able to place a stone/marker on the private grave.

Not really sure - mother is 100% Russian from Harbin, China and my father was born in Shanghai, but family legend has that side coming through the Philippines from Spain (maybe early 19th century).
