I'm a native Californian that relocated to Alabama in 2002. My father was born/raised in Kentucky, my mother was born/raised in Iowa. My son asked me to please take the information out of my head and put it on paper, as he and his daughters would never know how to find "Grandma Carrie and Pappy." I am having the time of my life working our FT 14-18 hours/day. The four branches of our Cummins/Fuller FT are: Cummins(Comens)-Davis, Ahrens-Littler, for my family; and Fuller-Isbell, Cummins(Cumyns)-Bruner for my son's grandparents families. My former M-I-L has been true to her word that we are not related by blood, knowing my Cummins(Comens) came from Germany, and have now found that her Cummins(Cumyns) came from Ireland. Hi Claudia..........From your name it appears you are related to W. M. Cummins.
I put another headstone picture on the memorial. It was given to me by Joyce Ellard Blackman and it shows how shaving cream was used to fill in the letters to make it easier to read.
My children are Posey's. Their great-grandfather married Candia Lou Ellard; so, the Ellards are in the family. I was born in San Francisco and married an Alabama boy (we are now divorced). When I left Florida in 2009 to get married in CA, I gave my ex all of the genealogy books and expandable folders with all of the Posey and Ellard files. I was sorry later; but when my son moved out to CA, he brought all of them back to me and I'm in genealogy heaven. I put a lot of work in to the family histoy, and am happily scanning what I did back in the early 90's.
