Correct birth & death dates, please. Tombstone reads b. Aug. 21, 1833, d. Feb. 5, 1913. Thank you.

Mr. Otis, our gg-grandmother is Toy. On her death certificate for which her daughter Nellie, (our great grandmother) was the informant, it states that Toy's parents were "William and Mary Turner". No maiden name is given for "Mary". As our family historian, the Find-a-Grave inclusion of the name of her father as "WILLIAM YANCY [& Mary Turner] interests me. I was very excited when I saw you had made that entry on Find-a-Grave. For years, we have tried to nail down Toy's father's true identity and the name "William Yancy" opens up a new, even, expected possibility. Your entry made something "click". Many scenarios have crossed my mind as I know Mary and Toy never lived with Toy's father according to all census reports, they stayed in the Turner household with Toy's grandmother Margaret Foster Turner until Margaret's death. As you may live in the area of the Foster cemetery and have heard Turner family stories and "family folklore", ANY and ALL help your can give will be appreciated.

Edits added - and the thanks for the photo are owed not to me, but to contributor Kim S. who is a tireless volunteer fulfilling photo requests at Dixon.
Glad I could help, Mark

Thank you for all the information that you left on Find A Grave! He is my 5th Great Grandfather on my mother's side. Berrian County is just south of here. I intend to go see his grave.

Hi, either is fine. I think you have the right info, just 2 graves turned around. I assume, without looking at the grave, the infant is to Albert Timothy Mudget & Mary E Baker Mudget (white tombstone, unreadable); Our Babe - Babe Mudget 1898-? he is showing up as 2 yrs in a census then not after;(gray stone against Mudget) Rosa Bell Mudget Brown January 1877-1898
THANK YOU for the wonderful work you do!
