I was born and raised on Perry Hilltop. I attended Chatham and Perry High School graduating in June 1959 at age 17. Then I went to Thiel College in Greenville for three semesters 1959 to 1961, Point Park College night school in Pittsburgh. I worked for Plymouth Oil Company, Equitable Gas Company and Railway Express Agency prior to joining the Army in 1971 and serving in Asia, Fort Benning, Fort Jackson, Fort Riley and Germany. I was promoted through the ranks from Private to Master Sergeant USAR. While at Fort Riley I completed a BS degree at Kansas State University. I was stationed in Germany in 1982 to 1985 and visited the Drollinger ancestral village of Ellmendingen which was my dream come true. I am engaged in searching the far flung branches of the Drollinger family. Currently a distant cousin, Dave Drollinger of Kennewick WA and I are working on this project. I retired from government service in November 2001.
