Jackson Famly
Eddie, Wish I could help with your problem. I live in Southwest Florida and only get to Tennessee every summer (Sullivan County). The Rader/Jackson cemetery is also on private property and is very overgrown. I believe the land did belong to Lewis at one time but is no longer in the family so I know the problems you are having most people will give you permission to enter a cemetery on private property if you ask. I have over 55,000 names in my family tree program and will extend into the Jackson family some day. Good luck with your search. If you need anything on the Rader family let me know. Thanks again for posting the photo. Tom

RE: Lola Harris Jamerson
You can look at David Vinson Jamerson's memorial on here. It also has links to his parents. It is in Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas, Tx.

Memorial no. 35110370

Hope this can help.

RE: Lola Harris Jamerson
I grew up next door to Lola (senior) and her four daughters, Lola (junior), Dorothy, and Margaret, and Barbara, so I feel like a relative. We kept in touch up until the last couple of years. The only member of this family left is Barbara.

Even when they were children, David, their father, was hardly ever around. They were estranged. He was rarely mentioned.

The mother, Lola, grew up in Corsicana and her maiden name was Harris. I have a lot of their family photos...even from Corsicana.

They moved to Denison, Tx. some years back so they could all be together. Barbara's husband at the time, Mike Scully, was a business man there, and from an old pioneer family there in Denison.

RE: Wallace's
Not only is it on private land but it has reverted to the wild. When we did the initial survey, the Sheriff's department had just done a cleanup --- and we were able to got into it and take a very thorough survey ---

however, we were asked to place a new marker into the cemetery in 2003 --- we did --- but by that time the underbrush was aprox 12-15 feet tall --- and solid

Due to the proximity of this cemetery to the Red river --- and the fact that it is crawling with rattlesnakes, I would not go into it, period. If you will give me a list of all your burials in this cemetery or in the county I will see what else we have in our files on them. Currectly have over 42,000 records in our files and this not a tombstone count but a compiling of anything we have been able to find on each individual.

OBIT: DETROIT NEWS HERALD 23 Jan 1930 from microfilm in the Clarksville Library: John Wallace, 83, pioneer resident of Kiomitia, died at his home there Wednesday night. He was a native of Georgia but had lived in that section 40 years. Burial service will be at the Geer Graveyard Friday afternoon.

This is all we have on John or his wife. Seems thay also have a son buried there.

Anyway, if we can be of help, please use sdale@suddenlink.net

There will be no charge as long as we can use E-mails

Have a great day
