Hi Jordan--if you look at the 1850 census record of Thomas Gray & Elizabeth Curry, Wilkes Co NC--you see their son Terrell, unmarried & still living with parents---the one who married Sarah Johnson was married and starting a family by 1850. Both served in Civil War.
I recorded the family links you gave me to James Scoggin's spouse and parents. Thanks for the information.
