I did not make the link to this memorial ~ therefore I cannot disconnect them. You'll need to contact the contributor for memorial 91103628, Mary Brailsford Larson.

Sorry I can't do it from here. But I will add a note stating your information just in case the other contributor does not respond.

Thanks for your contributions ~ Diane

RE: CEMETERY NAMES
I have photos of every cemetery in Galveston County with the exception of Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in dickinson. Old Catholic Cemetery was formed around 1840 or 1850 in a cemetery complex called Broadway Cemeteries. There are 7 cemeteries in that complex on Broadway Street. Calvary cemetery was formed later and is about 3 or 4 miles from the Broadway complex near the Beach on 61st street. There are 3 catholic cemeteries in Galveston County. Gets confusing. Raising eleveation of Galveston Island after the 1900 Hurricane really confuses it more.

RE: oops. told you I was confused
That stone may have been covered over with the 1900 storm. There are a lot of unmarked graves in that cemetery. My wife has several relatives there and no markers. They elevated the entire cemetery complex at Broadway after the 1900 storm and I was told by the Parks Supervisor that part of Evergreen was 3 tiers. Calvary is not much better--awful lot of open areas and not all that many old markers.

RE: My Grandfather ERNEST SMITH
I do not know why but an awful lot of the stones are not in Calvary, this one included. There are large areas in that cemetery without stones at all. Actually I have been able to only fill a few requests for that cemetery and most of those are newer stones. I photographed the entire cemetery in 2008 and have over 6,000 entires. I feel like I have failed when I cannot fill a request.

RE: My Grandfather ERNEST SMITH
Did do but no stone but that is not unusual for Calvry as there are lots of open unmarked graves. Sorry
