RE: Thanks for the Frances LaMora photo. There is no office on site. I had looked through well over half of the cemetery before someone told me the manager/superintendent was there for a funeral. He told me exactly where they were located. However, as mentioned, I could only find Francis.
RE: Thanls for the Frances LaMora photo. You are welcome, I am glad I could help. The cemetery manager was on site so I could ask where it was. That was helpful b/c the marker was almost comepletely covered over. The records showed his wife buried there as well but I couldn't find a marker.
RE: Gwendolyn LaRose White Don' t recognize names for me to be related. I am related to Larose (GGG Grandfather) 26742921 thru GG grandfather Elizabet Garso. Opposite side of family, White. My Grandmother's sister married White 64069965.
RE: John D and Sarah C Garner John Donahoo Garner is NOT buried at the Tinnin cemetery. I don't know the location of his grave, but think it is in Tallahatchie or Sunflower County. I will check my records and see if I have his death date, but I don't think I have the exact date. Sorry for the confusion.
RE: John D and Sarah C Garner That is the Tinnin family cemetery. Sarah "Sally" Caroline Tinnin Garner is there, along with her parents, sisters, etc. It is located on land that I believe originally belonged to James Tinnin. Slaves and their descendants are also buried there, because they are considered part of the family. The Garners lived nearby at Scobey (Garner Station) at that time. The reason it is called the Harrison-Tinnin Cemetery is because one of the Tinnin daughters married a Dr. Harrison, who was a prominent part of the community, and is also buried there.
RE: John D and Sarah C Garner John Donahoo Garner is not buried at the Tinnin cemetery. I don't know the location of his grave, but I think it might be in Sunflower or Tallahatchie county. He was living with Louis Reed Garner at the time of his death, on Parchman Penitentiary where Louis was a prison guard and overseer.
RE: John D and Sarah C Garner It's at Tillatoba and I live about 45 miles away. I have been to the cemetery a few times. It is located on private property and is in a heavily wooded area, not easily accessible, but not impossible, either.

RE: John D and Sarah C Garner Sarah Caroline Tinnin Garner was my great-great grandmother. Her nickname was Sally Caroline. John Donahoo Garner was her husband, my great-great grandfather. This information came from my grandmother, Minta Garner Aven. Minta's father was Louis Reed Garner, John and Sally's son. John Donahoo lived with Louis Reed and family while Louis Reed was a guard at Parchman Penitentiary. Sam Tinnin Garner, Louis' brother, also lived with them. Incidentally, my grandmother told me that it was pronounced Dona-who, not Dona-hugh. I had made the mistake of saying Dona-hugh and she very quickly corrected me. If I can provide any other information, please let me know.
